About Bible Agents
One weekly email. One topic of scripture. Written for the reader who is tired of platitudes.
Most Christian content fails its reader in one of two ways. It either talks down — easy feelings, no specifics, a pull-quote on a sunset — or it talks past, in jargon written for seminary classrooms. Both treat the reader like someone who can't handle the actual text.
Bible Agents was built on the opposite assumption. Our reader is intelligent. Often a skeptic. Sometimes a believer who has read the book and wants more. Sometimes a parent who won't hand a child something thin. Always someone who notices when an email earns their attention and when it doesn't.
How it works
We have built 200 topic-specific "agents". Each one covers a single thread of biblical thought — anxiety, marriage, parenting, prophecy, the lost books, the Nephilim, the kings of Israel — and each delivers one carefully written email per week to your inbox. You pick one agent. That's your subscription. One topic, one email a week, scripture-rooted, never preachy, under three minutes to read.
It's a small idea, deliberately small. The market is full of devotionals that try to do everything. We chose to do one thing well, weekly, for as many specific topics as we could write rigorously. The bet is that depth on one topic beats breadth on everything.
Editorial standards
- Scripture first. Every claim is sourced. Quotes use actual translations (typically ESV) and they are attributed.
- Denomination-neutral. Where Christians of good faith disagree, we say so, and we don't pick fights. Catholic, Orthodox, Reformed, charismatic — you should recognise yourself in our voice.
- Specific, not vague. "Trust God" is not a sentence we publish. We write the verse, the context, the modern parallel, and one specific thing you can do this week.
- Never preachy. No saccharine sign-offs. No emotional manipulation. We treat you the way good editors treat readers.
About the AI question
Some of our weekly drops are drafted with AI assistance — currently Claude by Anthropic — working from editorial standards we set, with primary biblical sources we provide. No drop is generated unsupervised. We tell you this because you deserve to know, and because we don't think the right response to AI is hiding it. The right response is owning the editorial direction so the result earns the reader.
The business
We are a small operation. We make money the simple way: subscriptions, $14.99 a week or $119 a year for a single agent of your choice, plus a $199 lifetime option for readers who prefer to pay once. We don't sell ads, we don't sell email lists, and we don't harvest your data for things that aren't the service you signed up for. Read the privacy policy if you want the long form on that.
What we won't do
- Predict the date of any prophesied event.
- Promise that a verse will heal what only a doctor can.
- Write a single email designed to make you cry without earning it.
- Sell your email address to anyone, ever.
If you want to help
Forward a drop to one person. Reply with feedback. Tell us where the writing was thin and where it earned the inbox slot. We read every reply and the best feedback shapes how we write the next ten thousand drops.
