Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies we use, what they do, how long they last, and how to change your preferences.
Effective May 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Bible Agents (operated by PLAY PLAY CARDS S.R.L.) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on trybibleagents.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Some cookies last only for a single browsing session and are deleted when you close the browser ("session cookies"); others stay on your device until they expire or you delete them ("persistent cookies"). We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, which we treat as cookies for the purpose of this policy.
2. The categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you opt in via our consent banner where consent is required by law (most of the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and several US states).
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to function — for example, to remember your consent preferences, to maintain a checkout session, and to detect abuse. Without them the Service may not work as intended. They cannot be disabled within our consent banner because they are necessary for the legitimate purposes of providing the Service. The legal basis under the GDPR is performance of a contract with you, and they are exempt from the consent requirement under the ePrivacy Directive.
2.2 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service in aggregate (which pages are visited, where readers drop off, what content resonates). Analytics data is used to improve the Service and is not used to make decisions about individual users.
2.3 Advertising measurement
We use Google Ads and Google Tag Manager to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Sensitive Personal Information (such as the agent topic you select — see § 8 of the Privacy Policy) for any advertising purpose.
We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2. When advertising consent is denied, our Google tags load in a privacy-preserving mode that does not identify you personally (cookieless pings).
3. Inventory
The list below covers the cookies and similar technologies set on the public side of the site. The exact list and durations can be inspected in your browser's developer tools at any time, since cookie names occasionally change as our providers update their SDKs.
| Name / pattern | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ba_consent_v1 | Bible Agents | Stores your consent choices so the banner does not re-appear on every visit. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention during checkout. Set when Stripe Checkout loads. | Strictly necessary | 1 year / session |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate usage analytics — distinguishing returning visitors and sessions. | Analytics | 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics 4 | Daily aggregate analytics. | Analytics | 24 hours |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Conversion linker — measures whether an ad click led to a subscription. | Advertising | 90 days |
_gac_* | Google Ads | Campaign-level conversion attribution. | Advertising | 90 days |
localStorage: ba_gclid_v1 | Bible Agents | Remembers a Google Ads click ID across pages so it can be attached to a checkout for offline conversion measurement. Removed once a checkout is created. | Advertising | 90 days or until checkout |
4. Changing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- Clear cookies for
trybibleagents.comin your browser. Our consent banner will re-appear on your next visit. - Disable cookies entirely in your browser settings. The Service may not function as intended without strictly necessary cookies.
- Use a privacy extension such as Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin, which can block analytics and advertising cookies on a per-site basis.
- Send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser. We will treat a GPC signal as an instruction to opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we do not engage in those activities by default.
5. Third-party links
The Service occasionally links to external sites — payment processors, content references, partner ministries. Those sites set their own cookies, which are governed by their own policies, not ours. We are not responsible for cookies set by third-party sites you visit by following a link.
6. Updates
If we add, remove, or materially change our cookies, we will update this page and update the "Effective" date. We may also re-show the consent banner so you can confirm or change your preferences in light of the update.
7. Contact
