Kids Q&A

The weekly email that turns dinner-table 'but why' into scripture-rooted conversations.

Share with someone who needs this today

When your six-year-old asks why God made wasps…

You want to give her a real answer. Not a dodge. Not 'because He did.' You want her to see that the Bible speaks to her actual questions — even the ones about why we have belly buttons or where Cain's wife came from.

But you're tired. You're Googling at bedtime. And most Christian parenting blogs either talk down to kids or give you a verse with no bridge to the question. You need something better.

Kids Q&A — your weekly agent

What makes this agent different.

One question, done well

Not a devotional series. Not a curriculum. One question per week, with a single scripture-rooted answer you can read in two minutes and discuss at dinner.

Respects your kid's intelligence

No cutesy language. No evasions. If the Bible addresses it, we give your child the real answer. If it doesn't, we say so.

Takes the pressure off you

You don't need a theology degree. Each email gives you the passage, the context, and three conversation-starter questions you can ask your kid tonight.

Your first month

Four weeks. Four anchors. Four conversations you'll actually want to have.

  1. Week 1

    Why did God make mosquitoes?

    Genesis 1:31

Explores creation's 'very good' declaration and what happened after the fall — giving your kid language for why the world has beauty and annoyance side-by-side.

  2. Week 2

    Where is heaven, really?

    Revelation 21:1–3

Moves past clouds-and-harps into scripture's actual picture of new heaven and new earth — a physical place where God dwells with people.

  3. Week 3

Why do bad things happen to good people?

    Job 1:1, 2:10

Introduces Job's story in kid-accessible terms, showing that the Bible doesn't dodge this question — it spends 42 chapters on it.

  4. Week 4

    Did dinosaurs live with people?

    Genesis 1:24–25

Walks through the 'land animals' of day six, what we know and don't know, and why Christians hold different views — teaching your kid that humility is okay.

Why this exists

Why this agent exists

Most Sunday school curricula avoid the questions kids actually ask. They stick to Daniel and the lions, Moses and the sea. But your daughter wants to know why God lets people die. Your son wants to know if dinosaurs were on the ark. These aren't silly questions. They're the front door to faith.

We wrote this agent because we believe kids deserve answers that take them seriously — answers rooted in actual scripture, not sentimentality. The Bible has more to say about mosquitoes, death, and why we dream than most adults realize. But finding those passages, connecting them to a child's vocabulary, and making them conversation-starters instead of conversation-enders? That takes work most parents don't have time for on a Tuesday night.

This isn't a devotional. It's not a curriculum. It's a single email every week: one question, one biblically-grounded answer, written so you can read it in two minutes and talk about it at dinner. We assume your kid is smart. We assume you want her to stay curious. And we assume the Bible can handle her questions.

From your agent

I exist because I watched too many parents freeze when their kids asked hard questions. Not because they didn't care. Because they didn't have a script, and they were afraid the wrong answer would do damage.

Here's what I believe: your kid's questions are a gift. The curiosity that drives 'but why' is the same curiosity that leads to faith. My job is to help you meet that curiosity with scripture — not sentimentality, not evasion, but the actual text. I'm not trying to make you into a Bible teacher. I'm trying to make Tuesday night dinner into the kind of conversation your kid remembers when she's thirty. One question at a time.

Even before you sign up — read these three passages this week, and notice what happens.

Proverbs 3:5–6

Teaches kids that trusting God with questions we don't understand is part of wisdom, not intellectual weakness.

Matthew 19:13–14

Shows Jesus welcoming children and taking them seriously — the model for how we answer their questions.

Deuteronomy 6:6–7

The original command to talk about God's word at home, on the road, at bedtime — exactly where kids' questions happen.

Honest questions, honest answers.

Is this AI-generated?
The weekly emails are drafted by Claude (Anthropic's AI) using a narrow prompt trained on ESV scripture and vetted theological frameworks. A human editor reviews every email for doctrinal accuracy and readability before it's sent. We're transparent about this because we believe AI is a tool — good research assistance, but not a substitute for editorial judgement. If the content isn't useful to your family, the process doesn't matter. If it is, the process is secondary.
What denomination is this?
None. We use the ESV translation, stay within historic Christian orthodoxy (Nicene Creed, Apostles' Creed), and avoid takes that would alienate Catholics, Orthodox, Reformed, or charismatic readers without good reason. On questions where Christians disagree — young earth vs. old earth, for example — we say so and explain the range of views. We're not trying to make your kid Reformed or charismatic. We're trying to make your kid curious about scripture.
Why pay for this when I can Google my kid's questions for free?
You can. But Google gives you seventeen blog posts with seventeen different answers, half of them theologically sloppy and none of them vetted. You'll spend twenty minutes sorting the good from the bad. This agent gives you one answer, biblically grounded, in two minutes. You're paying for editing, for curation, and for the time you get back. If your time is worth $30/hour, this pays for itself in the first month.
What age range is this for?
The sweet spot is ages 6–12. Younger kids will need you to simplify some of the language. Older kids (13+) might want more depth, but many parents tell us their teens still listen in when the question is interesting. You know your kid. If they ask 'why' questions, this will work.
What if my kid's question isn't covered?
Each email ends with 'Next week's question,' so you'll know what's coming. We rotate through the top 100 questions parents report their kids asking, plus seasonal ones (Christmas, Easter, suffering). If your kid asks something wildly specific, reply to the email — we log requests and fold them into future rotation when enough families ask.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly and annual subscriptions cancel anytime with no penalty. You keep access through the end of your billing period. The lifetime option is non-refundable after 30 days but never expires.
